Supermarkets in USVI fined for deceptive trade practices

ST CROIX, USVI: The owners of two Pueblo supermarkets on St Croix in the US Virgin Islands were fined after inspectors from the USVI Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs (DLCA) found instances where the stores had engaged in deceptive pricing.  Fines totaling more than $23,000 were assessed.

USVI man shot dead in latest shooting incident

ST THOMAS, USVI: On Sunday, shortly before 10:30 p.m. US Virgin Islands police were dispatched and immediately responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Simmons Alley, St Thomas. The VIPD found the body of a black male lying face down, just east of the formerly known Fireman’s Bar.

ST THOMAS, USVI: A US Bankruptcy Court, Chapter 11 trustee for the former Innovative Communication Corporation owned by Jeffrey Prosser, has filed papers with a federal court in Pittsburgh confirming that the popular, widely read Virgin Islands Daily News newspaper has been sold for $5.25 million.
